Meet one of our Promise Babies: Hazel!


Hazel Marie, daughter of Jeremiah and Miranda Meek of Hospers, IA, was born 4:48 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019, in their home, weighing 7 pounds, 10 ounces, and measuring 21 inches. Her brother is Benjamin, 13 months.

Certified nurse midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth.


Hazel is a second generation baby for Belinda as a midwife. Belinda also delivered Hazel's mom, Miranda.
