Meet one of our Promise Babies: Maverick!


Maverick Maas, son of Jason and Amanda Van Otterloo of George, IA, 
was born 2:26 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, in their home, weighing 9 pounds, 6 ounces, and measuring 22 inches. He has a sister, Thea.

Certified nurse midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth. Registered nurse Kari Ney also assisted with the birth.

He was born in their home in George, IA, with the
assistance of midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise
Community Health Center of Sioux Center, IA.
