Meet one of our Promise Babies: Luna!


Luna, daughter of Corey and Macauley of Salix, IA, was born 12:01 a.m. Thursday, July 6, in her home, weighing 8 pounds and measuring 21 inches. She has an older sister, Rosalie, 3.

Certified nurse midwife Pam Hulstein of Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth.


It was the family's first home-birth experience.

"The freedom that comes with a home birth is liberating and empowering," Macauley said. "I would choose Pam and home birth for all future pregnancies."


Macauley and Corey, along with older sister, Rosalie,
welcomed baby Luna into their family on Thursday,
July 6. She was born in their home in Salix, IA, with
the assistance of midwife Pam Hulstein of Promise
Community Health Center of Sioux Center, IA.

Meet one of our Promise Babies: Elektra!


Elektra, daughter of James and Holly of Beresford, SD, was born 8:34 a.m. Thursday, July 6, in her home, weighing 8 pounds, 8 ounces, and measuring 22 inches. She has an older sister, Andromeda.

Certified nurse midwife Pam Hulstein of Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth.


"It was the home birth of our dreams," Holly said.

"Our experience was exceptional and beautiful," James said.

James and Holly, along with older sister, Andromeda,

July 6. She was born in their Beresford, SD, home with
the assistance of midwife Pam Hulstein of Promise
