Meet one of our Promise Babies: Cash!


Cash Zion, son of Wayne and Sharilyn Trout of Sioux Falls, SD, 
was born 3:42 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018, in their home, weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and measuring 22 inches. He has four siblings, Caleb, 12; Christian, 7; Charis; 4; and Chiera, 2.

Certified nurse midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth. Registered nurse Kari Ney also assisted with the birth.


"We feel truly blessed by our experience with Belinda and the home birth of our son," Sharilyn said. "Wish we could have had all our kiddos this special way and under such great care!"

Sharilyn and Wayne Trout welcomed baby Cash into
their family on Tuesday, May 22. He was born in their
home in Sioux Falls, SD, with the assistance of midwife
Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center.

Meet one of our Promise Babies: Asa!


Asa Bradley, son of Julius and Raya Hopp of Moville, IA, 
was born 4:32 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in their home, weighing 9 pounds, 1 ounces, and measuring 22 inches. His grandparents are Brad and Megan Hopp of Moville, IA, and Scott and Maryann Beckner of Sioux City, IA.

Certified nurse midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth. Registered nurse Kari Ney also assisted with the birth.


This was a second generation baby for Lassen. She delivered Asa's dad, Julius, 22 years ago.

family on Wednesday, May 9. He was born in their
home in Moville, IA, with the assistance of midwife
Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center.

Meet one of our Promise Babies: Noah!


Noah James, son of Ruth and Carlos Hernandez of Sioux Center, IA, was born 11:42 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2018, in their home, weighing 8 pounds and measuring 21 inches. He has one brother, Christopher, 8. His grandparents are Paul and Esther Potter of Sioux Center.

Certified nurse midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth.

Ruth Hernandez holds her baby, Noah. She and her
husband, Carlos, welcomed baby Noah into their
family on Monday, April 23. He was born in their
home in Sioux Center, IA, with the assistance of
midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community
Health Center of Sioux Center.
