Meet one of our Promise Babies: Vivian!


Vivian Julianne, daughter of Bethany Schiefelbein and Matthew Burns of Spencer, IA, was born 12:29 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, in their home, weighing 8 pounds and measuring 21 inches. She has two siblings, Cecelia, 7, and Marielle, 5. Her grandparents are Joan and Dennis Schiefelbein of Fall Creek, WI, and Ann and Kevin Burns of Maquoketa, IA.

Certified nurse midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth.


Matthew Burns and Bethany Schiefelbein welcomed
baby Vivian into their family on Tuesday, April 30.
She was born in their home in Spencer, IA, with the
assistance of midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise
Community Health Center of Sioux Center.
