Meet one of our Promise Babies: Ada!


Ada Kay, daughter of Brooke and Conor Bertling of Le Mars, IAwas born 10:11 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019, in their home, weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and measuring 21 inches. She has a sister, Nora, 2. Her grandparents are Karen and Paul Langel of Le Mars and Sharleen and Dave Bertling.

Certified nurse midwife Pam Hulstein of Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth.


"We loved the care we received from Pam and the nurses at Promise," Brooke said. "Everything was perfect, and we could do it again."


Conor and Brooke Bertling, along with sister Nora,
welcomed baby Ada into their family on Wednesday,
April 24. She was born in their home in Le Mars, IA,
with the assistance of midwife Pam Hulstein of
Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center.
