Meet one of our Promise Babies: Gideon!


Gideon Matthias, son of Ethan and Sierra Tabbert of Sioux Falls, SD, was born 11:42 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, in their home, weighing 8 pounds and measuring 22 inches.

Certified nurse midwife Pam Hulstein of Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth.

"We absolutely loved receiving care from the midwives at Promise," Sierra said. "They were wonderful to have present at the birth of our son in the comfort of our own home."
