Meet one of our Promise Babies: Benjamin!


Benjamin Dean, son of Jeremy and Miranda Meek of Orange City, IA, 
was born 2:50 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, in their home, weighing 8 pounds, 14 ounces, and measuring 22 inches. His grandparents are John and Sophia Meek of Hastings, MI, and Randy and Gail Harlow of Sioux Center, IA.

Certified nurse midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth. Registered nurse Kari Ney also assisted with the birth.


This was a second generation baby for Lassen. She delivered Benjamin's mom, Miranda, in April 1996.

in their home in Orange City, IA, with the assistance of
Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center.
