Meet one of our Promise Babies: Atlas!


Atlas Onyx, son of Jonathan and Katie Sullivan of Salix, IA, was born 1:12 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2018, in their home, weighing 8 pounds, 14 ounces, and measuring 22 3/4 inches. He has three siblings, Jasper, 5; Lincoln, 3; and Shepherd, 2.

Certified nurse midwife Pam Hulstein of Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth.


"It was wonderful, personalized care in the comfort of home," Katie said. "I really enjoyed the birth experience."

her husband, Jonathan, welcomed baby Atlas
into their family on Monday, April 2. He was born
in their home in Salix, IA, with the assistance of
midwife Pam Hulstein of Promise Community
Health Center of Sioux Center.
