Meet one of our Promise Babies: Atlas!

Atlas, son of Brianna and Kyle Schubert, was born 12:19 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, in their home, weighing 9 pounds, 12 ounces, and measuring 22 inches. He has two siblings, Glory, 3, and Pascal, 2.

Certified nurse midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth.

"It's such a powerful, peaceful experience," Brianna said. "I wouldn't want to do it any other way for my future babies. The care of a midwife is unmatched!"

Brianna Schubert holds her baby, Atlas. She and
her husband, Kyle, welcomed baby Atlas into
their family on Tuesday, March 5.
