Meet one of our Promise Babies: Crew!


Crew Siep, son of Nate and Sabrina DeJong of Sioux Falls, SD, was born 10:44 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in their home, weighing 9 pounds, 2 ounces, and measuring 21 inches. He has a brother, Jagger, 2. His grandparents are Greg and Sherri DeJong of Rock Rapids, IA, and Scott and Amy Sieperda of Rock Rapids.

Certified nurse midwife Belinda Lassen of Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, IA, provided the prenatal care for the family throughout the pregnancy and attended the home birth. Registered nurse Kari Ney also assisted with the birth.


"We absolutely loved our experience! It was wonderful!" Sabrina said. "We can't say enough about Belinda and Kari. They were amazing!"
